If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fly through the air on the flying trapeze then Circus Space is for you. A large purpose built ‘circus school’ in Shoreditch London, Circus Space offers intense lessons across the circus skills spectrum. But for the beginner level they also offer experience days and half days where you are exposed to a mixture of skills such as juggling, acrobatics, tight wire walking and the flying trapeze. The courses are lead by professional circus teachers and welcome all levels of fitness and experience, groups and individuals. We personally found it beyond exhilarating to climb to the trapeze platform and upon taking the bar in hand, fly freely through the air. We felt that acrobatics sounded daunting [having not hit the mat since gymnastics at school] but the ease at which a human pyramid formed brought an enormous sense of accomplishment. Circus Space offers the room to re awaken the child in you which makes it a perfect alternative activity for hen and stag afternoons, team bonding sessions and xercise days. Only down side, not a red nose in sight!
