The future of British fashion

Thanks to the UK fashion council’s NewGen internationally recognised talent scheme, David Koma, Holly Fulton,Louise Gray, and Michael van der Ham will all receive sponsorship for their spring/summer 2012 collections and have been automatically branded as the designers of the future to watch. In collaboration with Topshop, these four emerging designers will be able to stage a catwalk show during London fashion week in September due to the financial support and the consulting offered by fashion industry experts.
Established in 1993, NewGen is the equivalent of New York's CFDA Fashion Awards and is regarded as a leading indicator of the next big "It" designer and is a respected launch pad for young UK-based designers. Familiar names that have benefitted from the scheme in the past include Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson.
